An unforgettable visit to Central Meteorological Observatory
This summer vacation, I paid a visit to Beijing Central Meteorological Observatory.
After coming into the center, first I had a short meeting with the professor Su and he led me come into the office. Then we worked ont he project for one week and a half.
Professor Su divided the whole work into different more simple work. Then each day, we finished a simple work. Finally, we combined the work together and finally got a research paper about the topic.

I also met many difficulties during this week. For example, I had problem with importing data into the chart. To elaborate, I cannot use the coordinates to calculate the distance between the typhoon and the location of Shanghai.

To solve it, the professor told me to use python and imported designed code. The distance is put out after the original data put in.

Getting from this event, I know the procedure of data analyzing and the significance of python to get the result I want.
Additionally, professor Su leads me to other areas in meteorological building. We visited lots of area, such as the recording room for weather forecasts. I see the whole process of making the video, including elementary recording and putting background. Most excitedly, I took photos with a famous weather forecaster! She also shared valuable experience she got here to me.

The visit was interesting and unforgettable. It buried a seed in my interest of typhoon and encouraged me to work more to achieve the same level as these researchers here.
